Federal funding programs

The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) offers the Federal Funding for Efficient Buildings (BEG). It applies to all residential buildings, for example condominiums, single-family and multi-family homes.

Federal Funding for Efficient Buildings

The new federal funding program for efficient buildings, “BEG” for short, was established with the goal of bringing structure and clarity to the federal funding jungle. As with any fresh start, many questions remain open here too, and ambiguities are common. However, the first important thing to know — and it remains true — is that you must submit an application BEFORE starting the project in order not to jeopardize the funding.

Whether individual measures on the building envelope, building services (except heating), heat-generation systems (heating technology), or heating optimization — there are extensive funding options. Our services as energy efficiency experts, whether in the consulting, planning, or construction-supervision phase, are also extensively subsidized by the federal government.

Talk to us. Every starting situation is different and requires individual consideration.

Framework to be complied with

The certification procedure checks compliance with the maximum value for annual primary energy demand as well as the requirements for the thermal insulation quality of the building envelope. Annual primary energy demand covers the needs for heating, hot water, air conditioning, and lighting, taking into account the additional energy required for extraction, conversion, and distribution — i.e., the upstream process chains outside the building. The key standard for calculating this value is DIN V 18599.

We prepare the GEG / GModG certification for you in line with the currently applicable version of the GEG / GModG, as well as any further requirements that may arise, for example, from funding sought for energy-efficient construction. In addition, we work with the planning team to optimize the energy balance for the entire building.

As part of the GEG certification, it must also be demonstrated that the summer thermal protection of occupied rooms meets the requirements of DIN 4108. We calculate the necessary sun-protection measures for this.

Let's get started together!
