In passive thermography, an object’s own residual heat is used for the thermographic inspection, making it available as a non-destructive testing tool.
The fields of application are extensive. For example, thermal bridges can be uncovered, hidden structural damage can be located, and — not least — damage to photovoltaic systems can be detected. Since meaningful thermography is carried out orthogonally to the object being examined, we use the latest drone technology to meet this requirement. Our fleet consists exclusively of DJI drones from the Mavic series.
A thermal image resolution of 640 x 512 pixels and a diagonal field of view of 61° produce very usable images.
Various applications require hand-held thermography, which is also possible — for this we use current devices from the German manufacturer Testo, based in Lenzkirch. Different lenses allow us various viewing distances, which can be particularly advantageous in tight interior spaces. Thermal image resolutions of 320 x 240 or 640 x 480 pixels are possible with these devices.
