The nationwide renovation roadmap
Since July 1, 2017, the iSFP has been recognized as a result report of the federal “Energy Consulting for Residential Buildings” funding program and is therefore eligible for funding. In 2020, the funding rate was increased to up to 80 percent. The goal is to use the iSFP to establish nationwide, uniform standards for the results of sound energy consulting in consulting practice. It can be used in energy consulting both for a complete renovation and for a step-by-step renovation. The tool is suitable for single- and two-family homes as well as for multi-family buildings.
Since January 1, 2021, the iSFP has taken on even greater importance, as it leads to higher funding amounts in many funding cases.
For example, various measures under the federal funding program for especially efficient buildings (“BEG”) receive an additional 5% subsidy if, before submitting the application, a renovation roadmap has been prepared by a certified energy efficiency expert and certified as eligible by the Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control.
To assess your building’s energy performance, we need meaningful building plans, sections, and elevations. Ideally these already exist digitally in high resolution. If that’s not the case, we’ll find an individual solution. We regularly work on projects where no plans exist, or only poorly preserved ones.
If the assessment goes ahead, your building is inspected on site and its components are thoroughly documented. This also requires various detailed photographs. We of course take your privacy into account as much as possible. The collected data is then evaluated using specialized software. For this, a 3D model of the building is typically created in order to calculate the heat-transferring building envelope area precisely according to DIN V 18599.
Based on this, the annual primary energy demand and the transmission heat loss can be calculated. Finally, possible renovation steps are developed that will bring your building to a KfW efficiency-house standard, either through a “step-by-step renovation” or a “single-stage renovation.”
Particular challenges arise with listed buildings of especially valuable historic fabric — which, due to the special building stock in our region, we regularly work with and can therefore draw on extensive expertise.
